Use Dip-It for badly stained coffee pots this method is especially helpful. There is especial product called Dip-It. Follow the instruction given on its package and pour the amount of solution given in the basket. Run a brewing cycle. Wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it with fresh water, that’s all.
Denture Cleaner to remove built up residue and leave your coffee pot sparkling clean use effervescent denture cleaner. Drop three or four tablets into the pot filled with water. Run the water through a brewing cycle and discard. Remove any particles that have been worked loose by rinsing it. Refill and run clean water through another brewing cycle to remove any traces of residue or cleaner. Discard and rinse thoroughly. Wipe clean.
Cream of Tartar Use cream of tartar to remove calcium and hard water banks. Add cold water in percolator. Add 3 tbsp. of cream of tartar to the basket and run through a cycle. Rinse and repeat with plain water. Wipe clean.
Baking Soda To remove stains and wipe out bitter flavors in your coffee clean with baking soda. Add 4 to 6 tbsp. of baking soda to the basket after filling pot with water. Run a cycle and leave setting for 15 minutes. Drain the water. Refill with cold water and run through a second brewing cycle. Empty the pot, rinse with cold water and wipe clean.
Finally keep these directions handy so you'll have them in the future. Your coffee will taste great every day now that your percolator is perfectly clean before each brewing session!
